Membership Process

Following an initial visit, prospective members may request to move to Footprint Acres and begin the membership process. For the first year each new resident will pay $500.00 monthly to cover housing costs. Additionally, a minimum of 20 hours per month will be required of each resident for property maintenance, gardening, repairs, composting, building, etc.

New residents may temporarily stay in the shared Main House or provide their own housing (tent, yurt, trailer, etc). Full membership will require living in one’s own private residence. Each private residence will be owned by that member with the ability to rent to visitors or sell to new members and/or to Footprint Acres.

Following a full-time residency of one year each resident may apply for full membership and qualify to earn equity. Part-time membership will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Residents and members will have regular weekly meals together to maintain good communication and community focus. Regular business meetings will also be scheduled on a monthly basis.
